Reporters learned from the China National Institute of Power Science on the 15th that recently, the portable electrical safety intelligent diagnostic device "safety detector" developed by the institute has entered full implementation and promotion. This device integrates artificial intelligence (AI), multimodal perception, and cloud-edge collaboration technologies to provide intelligent solutions for identifying electrical safety hazards, operating electrical equipment, and ensuring power supply for major events. It fills the gap in engineering applications for intelligent electrical safety diagnosis on the user side in China.According to reports, “Safe Intelligence Explorer” is an AI-based diagnostic system that integrates both hardware and software, and enables end-to-cloud collaboration. It can simultaneously collect data from five dimensions: visual, auditory, electrical parameters, environmental, and textual information.Drawing on the institute’s self-developed AI algorithms and a database of millions of potential hazards, the device can automatically identify 15 types of electrical equipment and accurately detect 290 categories of electrical safety hazards. The accuracy of hazard identification has been significantly improved.Its operation only takes three steps: carrying a leverage device to the site, wearing AR glasses to complete multimodal data collection, and within 15 seconds, the edge side can issue diagnostic reports and automatically generate standardized inspection records, the overall efficiency is more than 75% higher than that of traditional manual labor. Through augmented reality (AR) human-machine collaboration mode, the equipment supports manual review, and the new data collected can be continuously fed back to the algorithm, forming an intelligent iterative closed loop. It is understood that at present, "Security Intelligence" has been implemented as a pilot application in Hebei, Shandong, Gansu and other provinces, serving users in more than 20 industries. In the future, the research and development team will continue to implement technological advancements, continuously refining AI algorithms and model accuracy. Simultaneously, they will introduce value-added services such as model upgrades and customized maintenance operations.
