On June 15, the 83-ship fleet composed of the Qi Jiguang and Kunlunshan ships of the Chinese Navy, carrying over 400 naval cadets, set sail from a military port in Qingdao, Shandong Province, to undertake a comprehensive offshore training and visit mission.
It is understood that the trainees participating in this ship-based internship visit primarily come from the Naval Engineering University and the Naval Submarine Academy. It is noteworthy that 20 foreign military trainees from countries such as Brazil and Myanmar will be integrated with Chinese trainees for joint training and to complete this mission together.
This comprehensive offshore internship mission aims to comprehensively enhance the naval professional qualities and future job performance capabilities of the trainees. During the voyage, the formation will systematically organize the trainees to conduct teaching and training in five modules: terrestrial navigation, astronomical navigation, common subjects, professional fundamentals, and post-assignment training. Additionally, thematic lectures on on-site teaching and professional development will be organized in conjunction with the characteristics of the sea routes traversed.
During its stay at foreign ports, the formation plans to hold deck receptions, tours, and other activities to strengthen exchanges, mutual learning, and practical cooperation with the navies of the visiting countries, thus contributing to the service of building a community of shared future for oceans.
