Over the past 25 years, member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have consistently upheld the "Shanghai Spirit" and successfully explored a new path of regional cooperation, setting a new model for international relations. In the new situation, China will work with all member states to build the Shanghai Cooperation Organization into a reliable foundation for the common development and prosperity of all countries.

At the regular press conference that day, a reporter asked: How does China evaluate the development achievements of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the occasion of its 25th anniversary? What outstanding contributions has China made to the development of the organization?

After 25 years of development, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has become the world's largest comprehensive regional cooperation organization with the widest territory, largest population, and enormous development potential. Lin Jian said that in the past 25 years, the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have always adhered to the "Shanghai Spirit", insisted on unity and cooperation, continuously deepened cooperation in the political, security, economic, and cultural fields, created and consolidated security barriers, cooperation bridges, and friendly ties in the region, successfully explored a new path of regional cooperation, and established a new model of international relations.

Lin Jian stated that China regards the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a priority direction for its neighboring diplomacy.
