The market sales continue to grow, and the growth trend of service retail is good. From January to May, the total retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by 2.8% year-on-year, with service retail sales growing by 5.4% and commodity retail sales growing by 1.2%; The total retail sales of consumer goods reached 2.06031 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%; The national online retail sales of goods and services reached 8317.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%.
The overall employment situation is stable, with a moderate increase in consumer prices for residents. From January to May, the average urban survey unemployment rate in China was 5.2%. In May, the national urban survey unemployment rate was 5.1%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month. From January to May, the national Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.0% year-on-year.
Overall, the operation of the national economy remained stable in May, and the resilience of development continued to be demonstrated.
