Starting from July 1st, the number of direct mainland stations on the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High Speed Rail has increased to 113

The high-speed railway (Hong Kong section) operated by MTR Corporation Limited (MTR) will add three new stations, Guangzhou North, Yiwu, and Fuqing West, starting from July 1st. At this point, the number of direct mainland stations from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station has increased to 113, and related tickets will be available for sale from June 17th.
According to the arrangement, the G6080/G6079 trains running between West Kowloon Station and Zhangjiajie West Station, as well as the G903 train running from Tianjin West Station to West Kowloon Station, will add a new stop at Guangzhou North Station; The sleeper train G896/G895 travels between West Kowloon Station and Shanghai Hongqiao Station, with an additional stop at Yiwu Station; The G924/G923 train, which travels between West Kowloon Station and Fuzhou Station, will make an additional stop at Fuqing West Station.
MTR introduces that among the newly added stations, Guangzhou North Station serves as a regional transportation hub, connecting to subways and intercity railways, and is located near Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou Rongchuang Cultural and Tourism City; Yiwu is known as the "World Supermarket" and is a famous small commodity distribution center; Fuqing has numerous cultural and tourism resources such as Lingshi Mountain National Forest Park and the ruins of the South Shaolin Temple. MTR will continue to optimize cross-border railway services to facilitate passenger travel.
The Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High Speed Rail was put into service on September 23, 2018, connecting over 50000 kilometers of the national high-speed rail network. By 2025, the passenger capacity of the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High Speed Rail will reach a new high, with an annual passenger volume exceeding 30 million and a cumulative passenger volume exceeding 100 million, becoming an important bridge for promoting the exchange of people between mainland China and Hong Kong.
