On the 16th, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council held the "Future 60 Forum" and cocktail party at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to celebrate its 60th anniversary, attracting over a thousand people from all walks of life to attend.
The "Future 60 Forum" focuses on "review and foresight". Several former chairpersons of the Trade Development Council reviewed the process of Hong Kong's economy transforming from a manufacturing base to an international financial and trade center, and explored how Hong Kong can play the role of a "super contact" and "super value-added person".
The Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Frederick Ma, stated that under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, Hong Kong has a grasp of the direction of national development and the pulse of the international market. The Trade Development Council will continue to promote enterprises to "go global", deepen international exchanges, strengthen industrial docking, and facilitate substantive cooperation. Despite the numerous global challenges, he firmly believes that opportunities are everywhere in Hong Kong, and that the Trade Development Council and Hong Kong colleagues are advancing together, achieving mutual success, and moving towards the next 60 years together.
The Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Lin Dingguo, congratulated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Trade Development Council at a reception. He stated that Jia Zi carries 60 years of growth, wisdom, and achievements, and Hong Kong is also ushering in a new and more glorious chapter.
The first celebration event of the 60th anniversary of the Trade Development Council is the "Hong Kong Design Gallery Walks the City" event organized by the flagship retail platform "Hong Kong Design Gallery". A total of 36 Hong Kong brand products are exhibited in more than 10 locations throughout Hong Kong, allowing more citizens and tourists to learn about the unique stories of these local brands. Other activities include the "60 Book Fair Super Fan Certificates Broadcast", "Community Co Creation Art", and "Hong Kong Trade Development Council 60th Anniversary Exhibition" to be held during the Hong Kong Book Fair.
