A neighborhood gathering that breaks down barriers is rewriting the industrial DNA of China's automotive industry. On June 17th, more than 300 representatives from various fields such as vehicles, parts, universities, and finance sat side by side at the China Auto Valley Brand Operation Center in Wuhan Economic Development Zone. They have known each other for many years as' neighbors', but rarely hold hands due to information barriers; There are 'invisible champions' with complementary technologies, but they are struggling to find a way to connect. On this day, the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone Automotive Industry Chain Friendship Association was officially launched, under the name of "Chain Friends, Neighbors Good", to move from "fighting for each other" to "gathering strength and fighting together".

Currently, over 90% of the parts purchased by the Wuhan base come from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, South China, and Southwest regions, with a relatively low local matching rate. Zhang Xinfa, the general manager of BorgWarner Wuhan, admitted in an interview with reporters that the Wuhan automotive industry is an unavoidable "weakness". Although 11 whole vehicle companies, 15 whole vehicle factories, and over 1000 parts companies have gathered here, the information asymmetry and unsmooth supply and demand connection of the whole zero are like invisible walls, separating the cooperation possibilities that are within reach.

Change is happening. Last year, the automobile to whole ratio in Wuhan Economic Development Zone increased from 0.68:1 to 0.8:1, and the birth of the "Chain Friends Association" is precisely to transform the transformation determination behind this set of numbers into tangible industrial chain synergy efficiency.

At the event site, representatives from vehicle companies such as Lantu Automobile and Geely Holding, component companies such as Zhongchuang Aviation and Xinqing Technology, universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan University of Technology, supply chain enterprises such as Dongfeng Import and Export and Minmetals Qirong, as well as financial institutions jointly signed the "Cooperation Consensus of the 'Dache Valley' Automotive Industry Chain Friendship Association". All parties have agreed to adhere to open collaboration, focus on innovation and research, and strengthen financial empowerment, so that "neighbors" can truly become "teammates" fighting side by side.

The most practical part of this "Chain Friends Meeting" is that Lantu Automobile and Dongfeng Yipai have publicly announced their official supplier admission standards, core technology requirements, and procurement directions for the first time. This used to be the core information held by the host factory. Jiangsu Xincheng, as a representative of high-quality suppliers, shares its experience in improving quality and upgrading. Wuhan Linquan and other component companies take the stage to promote it, and one-on-one closed door negotiations ensure precise matching of supply and demand.

Zhang Xinfa, on the other hand, expressed hope for the rise of the supply chain in Central China. "Local supporting transportation costs are low, response is fast, and joint development is possible. Liu Ziqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wuhan Economic Development Zone, stated that "China Auto Valley has launched the 'Chain Friends Association' to create an open ecosystem, promote industrial upgrading together, and enable the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to exchange resources and share opportunities."
