Xing Huina, Deputy Director of the Information Bureau of the Information Office of the State Council and spokesperson, introduced the general situation of the work of the State Council departments in handling the proposals of NPC deputies and CPPCC proposals in 2024. Xing Huina said that in 2024, all departments of the State Council had undertaken 8783 proposals from deputies to the NPC and CPPCC, and 4813 proposals from the CPPCC, accounting for 95.1% and 96.1% of the total proposals, which had been completed on time. Delegates expressed satisfaction with the work. Each department regards the handling of proposal work as an annual key special task, concentrates advantageous resources, innovates methods and approaches, strengthens communication and exchange throughout the entire cycle and process of proposal handling, and promotes further improvement in the quality and efficiency of proposal handling. Various departments have adopted more than 5000 opinions and suggestions put forward by representatives and committee members, and introduced more than 2000 relevant policy measures, effectively promoting the resolution of a series of key and difficult issues related to reform and development and the vital interests of the people.
