On March 19 local time, Wan Degang, the Charg é d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, attended the online seminar on "China EU relations in a changing world" held by the Swedish "the Belt and Road" Institute. Dozens of experts and scholars from Sweden, Germany, Norway and other countries attended the conference. Wan Degang stated that in today's world where turmoil is intertwined, China, as a responsible major country, is firmly committed to being a stabilizing force in a turbulent world. The just concluded National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference indicate that China will continue to inject more stability and certainty into world peace, development, and prosperity. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Europe, as well as the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland. China is willing to carry on the past and open up the future to promote new and greater development in China Europe and China Switzerland relations. Experts attending the meeting stated that China and Europe have complementary economic advantages and enormous potential for cooperation in areas such as green transformation, technological innovation, and industrial and supply chains.
