On May 19th, the opening ceremony of the new building and first exhibition of the Beijing Dabaotai Site Museum was held in Beijing. The Dabaotai Site was discovered in June 1974 and is the tomb of Liu Jian, the Prince of Guangyang and his queen of the Western Han Dynasty, dating back over 2000 years. It is renowned both domestically and internationally for its highest level of burial form, the "Yellow Intestine Inscription Collection". It is the first archaeological discovery in New China to fully present the burial system of "Zi Gong, toilet room, and Huang Chang Tiao Cuo". The Dabaotai Site Museum will complete a complete renovation in 2025, including a basic exhibition hall and a temporary exhibition hall. The permanent exhibition will be the "Bo Jie City You Yan Hua Zhang - Western Han Guangyang State Historical and Cultural Exhibition". The museum will officially open to the public on May 20th.
