The technological progress released this time covers multiple fields such as permafrost in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, global estimation of soil microbial source carbon, urban land subsidence patterns in China, and pollution reduction and carbon reduction in the Yellow River Basin. These are the latest cutting-edge achievements in China's ecological and environmental technology field, with enormous potential for transformation and application value, which can provide solid scientific basis and technical support for the construction of a beautiful China and the high-quality development of green, low-carbon. ”Academician Wang Jinnan, Chairman of the Joint Venture and Chairman of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, said at the press conference that in recent years, high-level scientific and technological achievements in the field of ecological environment in China have continuously emerged. The number of high-level paper outputs and technology patents ranks first in the world. An ecological environment technology support system covering key areas such as water, atmosphere, soil, solid waste, and environmental monitoring has been established, and the overall technology supply has achieved independent and controllable control, basically meeting the needs of ecological environment protection in China. The ten major developments released this time are: the response mechanism of permafrost carbon cycle in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau to climate warming; The evolution laws and regulation principles of key atmospheric components under climate change; Development and application of intelligent perception of multiple environmental meteorological elements and large-scale model forecasting system; Development and open source release of EPICC Model, an integrated coupling model for emissions and atmospheric processes; A new formula for estimating global soil microbial source carbon and its impact on carbon cycling; Research on the pattern and mechanism of urban land subsidence in China; Mechanisms of climate change and terrestrial ecosystems; Progressive ecological restoration theory and river restoration practice; Key technologies and applications for intelligent collaborative emission reduction of carbon pollution from flue gas; Capacity expansion, pollution reduction, and carbon reduction technology system and application in the Yellow River Basin. Academician Zhang Yuanhang, Vice Chairman of the consortium, introduced that the top ten scientific and technological advances were recommended by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, member units of the consortium, universities, and research institutes, and were evaluated and voted on by a panel of 14 academicians. This year marks the sixth consecutive year that they have been released. He believes that the technological advancements released over the years have played a positive role in leading technological innovation in the field of ecological environment, encouraging scientific research on ecological environment, raising public awareness of environmental protection, and creating an innovative atmosphere throughout society.
