Recently, the Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has taken the form of emergency pull drills, dispatching some troops of land, sea and air forces to organize joint patrols, focusing on refining the combat capabilities of the troops in emergency response, rapid planning, emergency dispatch, joint operations, and special case handling. This joint patrol covers multiple branches of the military, including highly mobile infantry on land, naval training vessels, and air patrol helicopters. It is organized and implemented in accordance with practical requirements, with multiple courses and focuses on the rapid deployment and planning of command centers, sea and air patrols, temporary inspections and arrests, joint sea area control, emergency rescue and repair, and other practical contents. Through high-intensity confrontation exercises, it tests command and control, information communication, joint actions, and comprehensive support, consolidating and improving the ability of the stationed troops to respond to emergencies and carry out diversified military tasks. During the joint patrol, the stationed troops strictly complied with the laws and regulations on road, waterway, and aviation management in Hong Kong, and notified the relevant departments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government in advance.
