In the summer season, the construction site of the iconic project of the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle in the Chengdu Chongqing region - the Chengdu Chongqing Middle Line High speed Railway - is buzzing with machinery. Builders from China Railway 19th Bureau shuttle through various construction sites to promote the continuous beam construction of the controlled engineering cross Anyue Avenue super large bridge, ensuring that the bridge is closed as scheduled. The Chengdu Chongqing High Speed Railway has a total length of 292 kilometers and will become the smoothest and most efficient direct connection between the two major cities of Chengdu and Chongqing after its completion and opening to traffic. Since the beginning of this year, high-quality and efficient railway construction has been promoted nationwide. The reporter learned from China National Railway Corporation that from January to May this year, the national railway completed 242.1 billion yuan of fixed assets investment, an increase of 5.9% year on year, which effectively played the role of investment driving and injected new momentum into economic and social development. The relevant person in charge of the Development and Reform Department of China Railway Group stated that in the first five months, the railway department coordinated the use of resources and strength, accelerated railway construction, strengthened on-site construction management, conducted in-depth scientific research and development, strengthened safety, quality, investment, and environmental protection control, and steadily promoted the construction of key projects, laying a solid foundation for the successful conclusion of the 14th Five Year Plan. In Longnan, Gansu, the controlling project of the Tianlong Railway, Majie Tunnel, constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau, has entered the final sprint stage of excavation. The Majie Tunnel is over 12 kilometers long and belongs to a high stress soft rock large deformation tunnel with a maximum burial depth of 1160 meters. In Shandong, the control project of the Jinwei High speed Railway, the C-section rotating continuous beam of the Bindong Yellow River Extra Large Bridge, constructed by China Railway 21st Bureau, successfully completed double-sided double rotation and crossed two existing railways. In Sichuan, the excavation of the Huayingshan Tunnel, a first level high-risk tunnel of the West Chongqing High speed Railway constructed by China Railway 15th Bureau, has exceeded 6000 meters, achieving the goal of halfway through the progress. The Huayingshan Tunnel has a total length of 12150 meters and passes through gas rich areas and karst rich water sections, with high construction difficulty and risks. In Hunan, the renovation and expansion project of Yongzhou Station on Shaoyong High speed Railway, undertaken by China Railway 25th Bureau, has begun. Yongzhou Station connects the Hengliu Railway, Luozhan Railway, and Xianggui Railway, and is a controlling project for the entire Shaoyong High speed Railway. In Zhejiang, the construction of the Qujiang Extra Large Bridge over the Shanghai Kunming Expressway on the Quli Railway, constructed by China Railway 11th Bureau, has begun. The Qujiang Grand Bridge has a total length of 10.59 kilometers and is the longest bridge on the Quzhou to Songyang section of the Quli Railway. In Guangdong, the Yunkai Dashan Tunnel of the Shenzhen South High Speed Railway, constructed by China Railway 16th Bureau, has entered the main tunnel construction phase. The main tunnel of Yunkai Dashan Tunnel is about 3.8 kilometers long, and the construction faces challenges such as high ground temperature, rock fragmentation, and large water seepage. It is a key and difficult project for the Guangdong section of the Shenzhen Nanjing high-speed railway. The relevant person in charge of the Development and Reform Department of China Railway Group stated that in the next step, China Railway Group will conscientiously implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, focus on serving major national strategies and regional economic and social development, promote high-quality railway planning and construction, accelerate the construction of a modern railway infrastructure system, and help China's economy continue to recover and improve.
