The reporter learned from the National Space Administration that at 15:56 on June 14th, China successfully launched the electromagnetic monitoring satellite "Zhangheng-1" 02 into space using the Long March 2D carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The carrier rocket successfully launched the satellite into its designated orbit, achieving a successful launch mission. This is another major achievement in China's construction of exploration capabilities in the field of geophysical field space observation, further enhancing China's "sky air ground" three-dimensional monitoring capability for major natural disasters. This satellite is the first geophysical field detection service satellite in the medium and long-term development plan of the national civil space infrastructure. The satellite has a design life of six years and carries nine payloads, including the electric field detector jointly developed by China and Italy, and the high-energy particle detector developed by Italy. It will carry out quasi real-time monitoring of relevant parameters of the global electromagnetic field, electromagnetic wave, ionosphere, and neutral atmosphere, capture information about electromagnetic anomalies caused by geological and human activities, thunderstorms and lightning activities in the atmosphere, and effectively improve China's early perception, risk assessment, monitoring and early warning capabilities for major natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic activities, thunderstorms, etc., provide data support for emergency management, resource mapping, communication and navigation industries, and help build scientific and technological cooperation in relevant fields in the "the Belt and Road" countries.
