The 4th Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Computing Industry Conference and the 3rd China Computing Network Conference were held on the 13th in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province. At the conference, the Shaoguan Shutou Huawei Joint Innovation Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the "Innovation Laboratory") was officially unveiled. It is reported that Shaoguan Data Investment Company, in collaboration with Huawei, has joined hands with industry partners such as China Automotive Research Institute, Shanghai Hongyi, Jinglianwen Technology, Feitu Imaging, and Guangzhou Visual Energy Interconnection to jointly promote the official landing of the Innovation Laboratory in Shaoguan. The Innovation Laboratory focuses on three core directions: data elements, talent cultivation, and adaptation center. It integrates technology and resources, serves national strategies, and helps Shaoguan build a new highland for the digital industry. In terms of data elements, the Innovation Laboratory will establish a collaborative mechanism between industry, academia, research, and government enterprises, jointly build research and development centers with universities, and promote data governance and privacy computing applications; Building a data circulation platform to enhance the release of data value; Participate in the formulation of data openness and governance standards to support the development of the digital economy. In terms of talent cultivation, the Innovation Laboratory promotes the integration of industry and education, collaborates with universities to carry out "order based" training, builds practical training bases, promotes AI "industry university research application" collaborative education, and creates a composite talent pool. In terms of the adaptation center, the innovation laboratory focuses on the core systems of government and enterprises, creating an end-to-end technical system, relying on the Shaoguan computing hub, and enhancing system security and regional industrial support capabilities. In addition, 32 projects covering data center construction, data services and applications, and big data manufacturing were signed at the conference, marking Shaoguan's construction of a "infrastructure application manufacturing" closed-loop ecosystem and injecting stronger physical support into the computing power industry. It is reported that the first batch of contracts focused on data center projects, with the three major telecommunications operators and 10 enterprises taking the lead in signing. Among them, the second phase of the telecommunications data center project plans to construct 38500 standard racks, with a total planned investment of over 2.4 billion yuan. China Mobile Communications Group Guangdong Co., Ltd., China United Network Communications Co., Ltd. Guangdong Branch, and others will strengthen cooperation with Shaoguan in areas such as computing infrastructure, network construction, and industrial digital transformation. (New Society)
