2025-06-27

According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, at 21:29 Beijing time on June 26, 2025, after about 6.5 hours of extravehicular activity, the Shenzhou 20 crew members Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie worked closely together and successfully completed the designated mission with the support of the space station's robotic arm and ground researchers. Astronauts Chen Dong and Chen Zhongrui have safely returned to the Wentian experimental module, and their extravehicular activities have been a complete success. During the extravehicular activity, astronauts Chen Dong and Chen Zhongrui completed tasks such as installing space debris protection devices on the space station, inspecting and disposing of extravehicular equipment and facilities; And successfully installed foot limit adapters and interface adapters on the extravehicular platform. This will help improve the efficiency of astronauts' extravehicular operations, and the subsequent extravehicular activity time is expected to be shortened by about 40 minutes. At present, the various space science experiments undertaken by the crew are steadily advancing, and in the future, the focus will be on conducting space science research and technology experiments in fields such as space life sciences, microgravity basic physics, space materials science, aerospace medicine, and new aerospace technologies.
