From the intelligent large screen in the living room to the mobile terminal in hand, from immersive virtual experience to interactive live communication, the online audio-visual industry is constantly evolving, and its content and services have influenced the daily lives of billions of users. The forms and boundaries of content consumption are constantly changing, but high-quality content remains the anchor direction for future industry development. The 3rd Beijing Online Audiovisual Art Conference, guided by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Writers Association, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, was held in Beijing from July 2nd to 3rd. The theme of the conference is "The Sound of Audiovisual Waves and the Brilliance of Literature and Art", which aims to establish new samples, provide new ideas, and inject new momentum for the high-quality development of online audiovisual art. Breaking the circle+resonance, focusing on the vigorous development of new popular literature and art, the "Second Sister Yimeng" who works in the fields during the day and writes poems and videos at night, the "Guocuier" of the traditional culture of popular science with a one minute short video, and the "Derek Wen", the super creator of Kwai Keling AI... Thousands of popular creators like them, with enthusiasm and wisdom, have engaged in literary creation, and gathered into the source of new popular literature and art. Under the dual empowerment of "technological revolution+media innovation", the masses have become the narrative subjects, and every ordinary person has the ability to create literature and art. The newly established "New Popular Literature and Art Theme Seminar" section of the conference focuses on popular forms of new popular literature and art such as short videos and live broadcasts, taking stock of their vigorous development trends and considering the challenges that need to be addressed. Wang Jiequn, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, stated that the new popular art is flourishing and has become an important way for people to participate in cultural creation and experience spiritual life. However, any emerging form of literature and art will face some problems in its early stages of development. Guo Yusong, deputy director of the Cyberspace Office of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, said in his speech that the Internet has made Internet users become creators and disseminators of literature and art, but it has also brought challenges such as homogenization and vulgarization of content. Therefore, the breakthrough path for the development of new popular literature and art is to follow the correct path, the people's path, and the innovation path, and create literary and artistic works that represent the style of the times, lead the trend of the times, and are of "quality and quantity" and "outstanding in the circle". As Wang Zhengfei, the general manager of Kwai Entertainment Marketing Center, said, "The tide of technology is vast, but people's hearts are the starting point and destination of content." In the face of the vigorous development of popular literature and art, the industry still needs to adhere to the depth of culture, and promote new popular literature and art creation from "flow oriented" to "quality oriented". In addition to new popular arts such as short videos and live broadcasts, micro dramas are also becoming increasingly frequent in people's daily lives, with the support of competitions and events, promoting the trend of "chasing light" in micro dramas towards the future. In recent years, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau has focused deeply on the development of the micro drama industry, leveraging the effectiveness of the Beijing Radio and Television Network Audiovisual Development Fund to provide various forms of support measures such as script support, filming promotion support, and rewards for excellent micro drama projects. It is reported that in 2024, the Beijing Radio and Television Network Audiovisual Development Fund will support and reward 31 excellent micro short drama projects, with a total of 12.24 million yuan in support and reward funds. By 2025, the overall support funds will double, and the support scale will expand to 30 million yuan, with a focus on supporting micro drama projects broadcasted by CCTV and satellite TV and filmed in Beijing. In addition to project support, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau has carefully planned the Beijing Audiovisual "Chasing Light Plan" International Short Drama Competition. The core members of the judging panel of the competition, including Qiu Zhanghong, a dual professor from the School of Arts and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Peking University, and Leng Song, director of the Audiovisual Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, made their debut at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Beijing Network Audiovisual Art Conference. It is reported that a total of 1070 works were collected for the twelve themed tracks of this competition. After preliminary evaluation, 239 high-quality projects, including 138 "good works" and 101 "good stories", have successfully entered the semi-finals, demonstrating the creative ecology and diversified creative map of the whole society. In order to better demonstrate the demonstration effect of the "Chasing Light Plan" as an incubator for micro dramas, the conference also arranged two activities: "Chasing Light Plan" International Micro Drama Competition Art Conference Special Event "and" Micro Drama High Quality Development Theme Seminar ". With the dual drive of" event docking+expert intelligence ", the conference" traced "the development path of micro dramas and accurately" paved the way "for their high-quality development. In the future, the industry should not only anchor the quality improvement of micro drama content, but also deepen the implementation of "micro drama+", open up the integration chain of "cultural, commercial, and sports integration", and maximize the innovative value of the entire micro drama industry chain. Embrace the new format of online audiovisual and jointly usher in a prosperous new future for art. The 3rd Beijing Internet Audiovisual Art Conference covers industry hotspots such as online variety shows, online dramas, micro dramas, and new popular arts, aiming to promote the quality and upgrading of online audiovisual arts, cultivate and support literary and artistic masterpieces, explore and encourage outstanding online literary and artistic talents, and inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of "Beijing Audio Visual".
