On July 6, 2025, on Pingshan Ecological Floating Island in Qiandaohu Town, Chun'an County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, workers were planting aquatic water spinach suitable for summer growth. In order to protect the beautiful water of Qiandao Lake, Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province actively uses the soilless cultivation technology of ecological floating island aquatic plants, selects aquatic or domesticated terrestrial plants with developed roots, simple maintenance, and high nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency, and plants them on the water surface. Through dense root absorption during plant production, the purification ability of the upper water body is enhanced, further improving the water quality of Qiandao Lake. (New Society)
