On July 2nd, the Internet of Things Standardization Technical Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Internet of Things Standardization Committee") held its inaugural meeting in Beijing. The establishment of the Internet of Things Standardization Committee is an important measure to implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on accelerating the development of the Internet of Things. It will effectively promote the research and application of Internet of Things technology standards, create a systematic, highly collaborative, and technologically advanced Internet of Things standard system, promote innovative development of the Internet of Things industry, and enhance the international competitiveness of the industry. The IoT Standardization Committee is mainly responsible for the formulation and revision of industry standards in the fields of IoT industry applications, key technologies, construction and operation, etc. Its secretariat is located at the China Electronics Standardization Research Institute. It is reported that the Internet of Things Standardization Committee held its first plenary meeting at the same time, and reviewed and approved documents such as the committee's articles of association, secretariat work rules, standard revision work procedures, 2025 work points, and the composition plan of its working groups.
