On the important occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Europe, it is timely for both sides to strengthen strategic communication and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, which is a good thing for both sides and the world. In the current complex international situation, it is necessary for China and Europe to summarize the experience of the past half century's ups and downs, enhance understanding and mutual trust, consolidate partnership positioning, consolidate cooperation consensus, properly handle differences and differences, and jointly open up a more resilient, independent, mature, stable, and far sighted 50 year relationship between China and Europe. Recently, the 16th China Europe Entrepreneur Summit, the 2025 China Europe Business Summit Forum, the 5th China Europe (France) Cross border E-commerce Forum, and the 2nd China Europe Enterprise ESG Best Case Conference have been held intensively, where Chinese and European enterprises discuss new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation and explore new paths for future development together. Looking back at half a century of exchanges between China and Europe, the most consistent consensus is multilateralism, which is even more important today. In the current era of unilateralism and power politics, as the two major forces and economies in the world, China and Europe must uphold the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, strengthen strategic communication, carry out coordinated cooperation, jointly maintain world peace and stability, uphold multilateralism and free trade, and uphold international rules and fairness and justice. A healthy and stable China Europe relationship will not only benefit each other, but also illuminate the world.
