On July 9th, the "Ningwu" shield tunneling machine successfully crossed the Qinhuai New River in Nanjing, marking the successful completion of the excavation task in the shallowest section of the shield tunneling project. The key control node construction of the Ningwu Railway expansion and renovation project has made a breakthrough, and other construction projects are steadily advancing. The expansion and renovation project of Ningwu Railway starts from Nanjing East Marshalling Station (excluding) in the north, passes through Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, enters Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province, and ends at Wuhu East Station (excluding). After the reconstruction, the total length of the line is 102.2 kilometers. After completion and operation, it will further optimize the layout of the regional railway network, which is of great significance for accelerating the upgrading and adjustment of the industrial structure along the line, optimizing the spatial layout of urbanization, and enhancing the flexibility of the road network.
