Recently, Fangshan District in Beijing organized military civilian pairing units to sign a dual support and joint construction agreement. More than 10 stationed troops have formed joint construction pairs with relevant departments in Fangshan District, and signed agreements including joint military and civilian efforts to carry out national defense education, arrange for the placement of retired soldiers, and organize cultural exchanges. The leaders of the People's Armed Forces Department of the district introduced that Fangshan is an important part of the Pingxi Anti Japanese Base Area and the place where the lyrics and music of "Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China" were created. Over the years, the district has continued its fine traditions and actively carried out the activities of supporting and co building, and has been named the "National Model City for Supporting and Co building" for four consecutive times. The signing of this agreement is conducive to promoting the high-quality implementation of the dual support work in accordance with the law, and further consolidating the unity between the military, government, and civilians. It is understood that according to the signed agreement, the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau conducts vocational education activities or vocational skills training for the co construction units every year, the District Education Commission provides educational guidance for the soldiers of the co construction units to take the exam, and the District Adult Education Center provides skills training, project recommendations, information push and other services for retired soldiers through training bases and entrepreneurial spaces. A certain naval unit assists joint construction units in carrying out national defense education, while a certain army unit regularly organizes open day activities in military camps. In recent years, the dual support work in Fangshan District has yielded fruitful results. The local government has assisted the stationed troops in completing the municipal pipeline network project for "water, electricity, heating, and sewage" connection, solving problems such as environmental greening and road construction. It has also introduced many practical measures in employment for military dependents, enrollment of military children, and placement of retired soldiers. The stationed troops play an important role in emergency rescue and disaster relief, as well as supporting local economic development. The leaders of the district stated that they will conscientiously fulfill the agreement on dual support and joint construction, continuously strengthen military civilian interaction, implement the list of practical tasks for military civilian mutual assistance, and promote the dual support work to a new level.
