Typhoon Wipha makes landfall in Jiangmen, Guangdong

According to the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory, Typhoon Wipha, the 6th typhoon of this year, made landfall along the coast of Haiyan Town, Taishan, Jiangmen, Guangdong at around 17:50 on the 20th. At the time of landfall, the maximum wind speed near the center was 12 levels (33 meters/second), and the minimum pressure at the center was 975 hectopascals. It is expected that "Weipa" will move in a southwest direction at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour. (New Society)
