2025-07-21
As the southern gateway and millennium commercial capital of China, Guangzhou has been renowned throughout the world for its geographical layout of "clouds, mountains, and pearls" since ancient times. Haizhu District is the only island in the center of Guangzhou city surrounded by the Pearl River and born in response to the water. In recent years, Haizhu District has been positioned as a "pioneer in new quality productivity, world-class urban living room, and leading area for new vitality in old cities", with the goal of building a dynamic, charming, and competitive "digital ecological city". The district focuses on building a digital economy demonstration zone, a leading zone for industry city integration, a central ecological livable zone, and a model zone for cultural, commercial, and tourism integration. The achievements of high-quality development are continuously consolidated. On July 19th, the "Art Aviation Guangzhou, Creative Sailing" Hong Kong university students' mainland internship group entered Haizhu District, Guangzhou to carry out a research and exchange activity that integrates Lingnan culture and cutting-edge technology. With the support of the United Front Work Department of Haizhu District, they visited Guangzhou Cultural Center, Yundie Technology, and Guangzhou Art Museum (Guangzhou Art Museum) to experience the unique charm of Haizhu District's "interweaving of tradition and modernity, and integration of culture and technology" from multiple perspectives. Immersive Experience of Lingnan Cultural Charm: In the development trend of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, the dialogue between tradition and modernity is silently reshaping the cultural texture of the city. As an important birthplace of Lingnan culture and a hub of the Maritime Silk Road, Guangzhou actively builds a cultural bridge connecting history and the future. The Guangzhou Cultural Center, located by Haizhu Lake, covers an area of approximately 142000 square meters. It is not only a public cultural service landmark, but also a beautiful scenic spot combining Han and Tang architecture with Lingnan gardens, allowing people to appreciate the charm of Lingnan traditional culture among pavilions, bridges, and flowing water. According to reports, the Hong Kong university students' internship group in mainland China visited the Guangzhou Cultural Center, which is designed with the theme of "Ten Miles of Red Clouds, One Bay of Water, Eight Bridges, Painting Boats, and Sixteen Pavilions". Multiple themed garden buildings, including the Public Cultural Center, Hanmo Garden, Quyi Garden, Guangfu Garden, and Guangxiu Garden, together form this "urban living room" rich in Lingnan cultural heritage. The most magnificent building among them is the central pavilion of the public cultural center, which is not only a landmark building of the cultural center, but also its core spatial node. When people climb onto the observation deck of the Central Pavilion, they can overlook the Guangzhou Tower and the entire cultural center, and fully appreciate the beauty of Lingnan gardens. The Hanmo Garden, located in a corner of the Guangzhou Cultural Center, is a venue built on a mountainous terrain. The architecture is mainly composed of Lingnan elements, with mountains and stones piled up and bamboo used to create the scenery, full of the atmosphere of literati Hanmo. Following the winding corridor along the mountain terrain, the corridor winds around the pavilion, creating a picturesque scene step by step, making students unable to help but slow down their pace. In Hanmo Garden, a Lingnan herbal tea culture exhibition called "From Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance to Modern Health Preservation" allows students to further understand the development and changes of "herbal tea", an important intangible cultural heritage widely spread in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as the essence of traditional Chinese medicine culture behind it, through immersive experiences. Hong Kong university students visited the Lingnan Herbal Tea Culture Exhibition at Guangxiu Garden, which was based on the typical mansion garden of Guangfu. Drawing on the gardening characteristics of Jiangnan gardens, the main courtyard, mountains, and water gardens were connected through winding corridors, water pavilions, and bridges, forming a richly layered main courtyard water garden and creating a peaceful and profound sense of space. In the Guangxiu Garden, there are graphic and textual introductions showcasing the dyeing and finishing techniques of Xiangyun yarn, which have attracted the attention and astonishment of students. According to the reporter's understanding, Xiangyun yarn is an ancient handmade plant dyed fabric produced in Lingnan. It is also a national intangible cultural heritage and is known as the "soft gold" in the textile industry. Hong Kong university students learned about the production techniques of Xiangyun yarn through graphic and textual introductions. The Quyi Garden is surrounded by Haizhu Lake, and its overall style and scale have a Han Tang charm. In addition, Quyi Garden also adopts a multi stage design, focusing on the "still water mirror" landscape, echoing the concept of traditional architecture "Bi Yong", and clearly distinguishing between performance and viewing spaces. Unlike the grandeur of Quyi Garden, Guangfu Garden is a scene of small bridges, flowing water, and homes - pavilions and towers built by the water, leisurely floating on the lake surface, with blue bricks and white walls, creating a classical and elegant atmosphere. The design concept of Guangfu Garden is "appropriate density and twists and turns", showcasing a traditional and natural beauty through the harmonious layout of architecture and gardens. Strolling among the four gardens, students felt the unique charm of Lingnan architecture and raised their cameras to record the scenery here. By 2024, Haizhu District will build the country's first demonstration zone for the application of artificial intelligence big models. As of now, it has attracted 120 industry big models, 10 big model filing projects, 114 algorithm filing projects, and gathered over 7000 pan artificial intelligence enterprises. Haizhu District Pazhou is accelerating the construction of a digital economy industry cluster, striving to become the "smart heart" of a millennium commercial city. Located in Pazhou, Huaxin Science and Technology Innovation Island gathers numerous industry unicorns, innovative technology, and "four up" enterprises, among which Yundie Technology is a typical representative. Hong Kong university students' mainland internship group visited Yundie Technology to experience the development of AI and digital economy industries in the new era. At present, the development of artificial intelligence is flourishing at Yundie Technology, where Hong Kong university students' mainland internship groups are participating. We will deeply integrate algorithm research and development with industry pain points, gradually polishing the core product of vertical large models - the Xingzhi large model. ”Manager Xiao from the Brand Department of Yundie Technology introduced, "Currently, Yundie solutions characterized by 'small computing power, low cost, fast implementation, and replicability' are widely used in fields such as education, agriculture, industry, healthcare, and government affairs." After visiting Yundie Technology, Hong Kong university students gained a deeper understanding of its innovative applications of AI models in the education field, such as Yundie AI assistant agents, smart classrooms, and smart sports. During the visit, many students stepped forward to experience and take photos to record, feeling the efficiency and convenience brought by the development of artificial intelligence. Hong Kong university students understand the innovative application of AI models in the field of education. Hong Kong university student Zhao Weijun shared his feelings after visiting with a reporter from Xinhua News Agency. Today I learned about the application of AI big models in the field of education, and I believe that artificial intelligence is very helpful for the development of the education industry. Not only can it assist teachers in efficiently completing lesson preparation work, but it can also provide personalized learning feedback for students. This real-time interactive intelligent education model will help us break through the time and space limitations of traditional learning and achieve more accurate and efficient self-improvement. ”Zhao Weijun, I think the phrase 'AI benefits humanity' is very reasonable. The application of technology has opened up new forms of education, giving it 'digital wings'. ”Hong Kong university student Lin Guozhao told Xinhua News Agency reporters, 'Currently, the development prospects of artificial intelligence are very broad, and I am personally very interested in AI big models.'. I hope to have the opportunity to further my studies in the field of AI in the future and contribute my efforts to the technological development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. ”In recent years, the phenomenon of "museum fever" and "art museum fever" has become increasingly prominent, as Lin Guozhao realizes the beauty of Lingnan culture in the art hall. Beside the iconic Guangzhou Tower, a building with the design concept of "blooming cotton flowers in the water" stands quietly, which is the Guangzhou Museum of Art (Guangzhou Art Museum). As an important cultural landmark in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou Art Museum integrates collection, exhibition, research exchange, and education, and is currently one of the largest professional art exhibition halls in Asia. On the last stop of their study tour, students embarked on a journey of aesthetics spanning thousands of years amidst the interweaving of light and shadow. The Hong Kong University Students' Mainland Internship Team at the Guangzhou Museum of Art has gathered 154 pieces (sets) of art treasures from the 65 year creative career of 82 year old returning overseas Chinese artist and honorary consultant of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Tide Federation, in the exhibition hall of "Unique - Xu Guling's Art Journey". This exhibition, in order of Mr. Xu Guling's growth time, comprehensively showcases his modern deconstruction and innovative achievements in traditional Chinese art. Classmates often stop by Mr. Xu Guling's works to appreciate his unique art style that blends Eastern freehand brushwork with Western colors, and to understand his artistic trajectory and creative journey. Hong Kong university students visit the "Unique - Xu Guling's Art Journey". In addition, the "Ou Chu Donation Cultural Relics Exhibition" showcases nearly 200 exhibits donated by Mr. Ou Chu, a poet and collector from Guangdong. The art types are rich and diverse, covering pottery, porcelain, bronze ritual vessels, and more. Students can not only witness the development and changes of China's arts and crafts decoration, but also learn about Mr. Ou Chu's important contributions to cultural construction in Guangzhou and other places. Hong Kong university students visited the "European Heritage Donation Exhibition" and I am very happy to participate in today's research activity. ”Cao Yuanyuan, a student from the Education University of Hong Kong, shared her insights on her visit with a reporter from Xinhua News Agency. "The architectural design of Guangzhou Cultural Center is full of Lingnan charm, which makes me feel the charm of Chinese aesthetics. The AI model of Yundie Technology has enabled me to understand the multi-level application of artificial intelligence in the field of education; Entering the Guangzhou Art Museum, I learned about Mr. Xu Guling's personal growth process and creative ideas by watching his paintings. Through his works, I can feel the beauty of the fusion of Eastern and Western art. ”She said, "Guangzhou, as a city, has both 'historical depth' and 'future height'. This study tour is very helpful for me to further understand the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area." Next, the Hong Kong university students' mainland internship group will also visit Tianhe District, Liwan District and other places for exchanges, using a multidimensional perspective of 'culture+technology+industry' to comprehensively enhance Hong Kong university students' understanding of the development achievements and cultural heritage of the mainland. With the increasingly close exchanges in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, more and more Hong Kong youth are actively participating in the overall development of the motherland, taking the initiative to serve as cultural bridges in cross regional cooperation, empowering the integration of the Bay Area with innovative thinking, and writing the responsibility and commitment of the younger generation in the tide of the times.
