The Hong Kong Tourism Board released data on the 26th, stating that the total number of visitors to Hong Kong in the first half of this year (January to June) was about 24 million, an increase of 12% year-on-year. About 3.48 million people visited Hong Kong in June this year, a year-on-year increase of 11%, including about 2.61 million mainland tourists. Data shows that the number of visitors to Hong Kong steadily increased in the first half of this year, with approximately 17.8 million mainland tourists, a year-on-year increase of 10%; There were approximately 5.84 million non mainland tourists, a year-on-year increase of 17%. Among them, the number of visitors from short distance source markets such as Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines to Hong Kong has increased by 25% or more year-on-year; In the long-distance market, the number of Australian passengers has grown significantly, with a year-on-year increase of 33%. The Hong Kong Tourism Board recently launched a new summer themed promotion called "Hong Kong Summer Party", collaborating with local industries to offer over 150 summer benefits and consumption discounts to tourists and citizens, stimulating summer consumption.
