The National Healthcare Security Administration announces typical cases of fraud and insurance fraud in the pharmaceutical industry

The reporter learned from the National Healthcare Security Administration that the National Healthcare Security Administration recently announced ten cases of fraud, insurance fraud, and illegal activities in the pharmaceutical industry. This is the second batch of typical cases announced since the National Healthcare Security Administration, in conjunction with relevant departments, launched a special action to combat the return of drugs through the application of drug traceability codes, involving the resale of medical insurance drugs, collusion of drugs, and so on. These ten typical cases include: the case of Fuhua Community Health Service Station in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reselling medical insurance drugs; The case of drug exchange in Xuzhuang Village Health Center, Dezhou City, Shandong Province; The case of drug exchange in the health clinic of Bianqiao Village, Dazu District, Chongqing; The case of Qian Yucai Clinic reselling medical insurance drugs in Daying County, Suining City, Sichuan Province; The case of Gaogou Health Clinic reselling medical insurance drugs in Longli County, Guizhou Province; The case of Xianghe Pharmacy reselling medical insurance drugs in Nanyang City, Henan Province; Case of Yongfeng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Third Pharmacy in Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region reselling medical insurance drugs; Case of Wu and Han, insured persons in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, illegally reselling medical insurance drugs; Case of Wang, a insured person in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, and Ziyu Branch Pharmacy of Shuangfu Pharmaceutical Company in Jixian County reselling medical insurance drugs; Case of Yang, a insured person in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, reselling medical insurance drugs. In ten typical cases, the abnormal clues of drug traceability codes played an important role. Since the National Healthcare Security Administration promoted the collection and supervision of drug traceability codes in designated medical institutions nationwide in 2024, a total of 53.098 billion drug traceability codes have been collected so far. The National Medical Insurance Administration reminds that designated medical institutions for medical insurance must purchase with a code and settle by scanning the code; Medical insurance insured persons can scan the traceability code when purchasing drugs. Once suspected drugs that have been settled multiple times are found, they must resolutely protect their legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law. (New Society)
