The Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army Su Zhe Military Region is located in Meishan Town, Changxing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is the location of the 16th Brigade of the New Fourth Army and the party, government, and military command and logistics support institutions of the New Fourth Army Su Zhe Military Region in the later stage of the Anti Japanese War. It has been approved by the State Council to be included in the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. In recent years, Meishan Town has actively promoted red tourism by relying on red resources. Yangfeng Village, where the former headquarters of the New Fourth Army Suzhou Zhejiang Military Region is located, vigorously develops red study tours, relying on more than 20 boutique homestays to help villagers increase their income by over 300000 yuan annually. As one of the filming locations for the movie "Changjin Lake", the Coal Mountain Old Fire Station actively explores the potential of film, television, culture, and tourism, promotes the entry of projects such as the Industrial Culture Expo Hall, coffee bars, tea bars, and homestays, and creates a cultural and tourism consumption hotspot with Coal Mountain characteristics. In addition, Meishan Town is promoting the upgrading of traditional industries by introducing platforms such as Zhejiang Energy Smart Energy Technology Industrial Park, Zhejiang Energy (Changguang) Hydrogen Energy Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, and Tianneng Green Manufacturing Industrial Park. This has achieved a magnificent transformation from traditional industries to high-end manufacturing and new energy industries, with an annual output value exceeding 10 billion yuan, becoming a model of "mining land to park" transformation. In May 2025, Meishan Town was awarded the title of "National Civilized Town" at the seventh session. A picture of industrial prosperity, ecological beauty, cultural vitality, excellent governance, and people's wealth is slowly unfolding in Meishan Town. (New Society)
