So far, the Department of Veterans Affairs has received and resettled over 250000 demobilized officers and arranged work for retired soldiers, and the quality and efficiency of the resettlement work have been continuously improved. The Department of Veterans Affairs continuously revitalizes the "two resources" of positions and talents, mobilizes the enthusiasm of party and government organs, mass organizations, public institutions, and state-owned enterprises for resettlement, optimizes the resettlement ratio of various units, guides units to provide more suitable positions for veterans, and achieves the goal of "matching positions and making full use of talents"; We will promote the direct placement of professional talents, and make good use of scientific research, aviation and other general talents to achieve the goal of "no job transfer". As of now, more than 8000 people have been directly placed. Xu Yao introduced that during the 14th Five Year Plan period, three breakthroughs were achieved in the work of job transfer and resettlement. The "Regulations on the Placement of Retired Soldiers" have been introduced in terms of policy and system, improving the placement policies for different types of retired soldiers, and taking the level of legal and standardized placement to a new level; We have established a monthly retirement fund placement method and opened up a new channel for the placement of retired soldiers; We have improved the evaluation mechanism for the contributions of retired military personnel to their service in the working mechanism, with a focus on arranging long-term service in difficult and remote areas, special positions, and rewarding individuals for their achievements, and strengthening the clear orientation of linking placement with contributions. In practical work, before retirement, we will carry out "sending policies to the military camp" and conduct policy propaganda at the grassroots level; After leaving, hold a welcome ceremony for retired soldiers and organize adaptability training; In the process of resettlement, all positions, scores, rankings, and results will be publicly disclosed, and one-stop services such as registration and settlement, insurance relationship transfer, etc. will be promoted; After taking up the post, conduct follow-up visits to understand the role and performance of retired soldiers, organize professional training and specialized training for entering universities, and help retired soldiers achieve new positions. Xu Yao pointed out that in the next step, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs will continue to improve the policy and institutional system for resettlement, focusing on three key areas: increasing job supply, optimizing resettlement procedures, and strengthening service management, and continuously promoting high-quality development of resettlement work.
