The countdown 100 day event for the 15th National Games, the 12th National Para Games, and the 9th Special Olympics (Hong Kong Division) will be held on the 2nd at the Hong Kong Cycling Center. Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam stated that in the next 100 days, Hong Kong will focus on optimizing competition processes, refining service arrangements, strengthening safety measures, conducting testing and drills in various venues and scenarios, creating a fair competitive stage for athletes, and creating unforgettable viewing experiences for audiences. Hong Kong will fully leverage its advantages in internationalization and specialization, contribute its strength to the construction of a national sports power through professional team collaboration, rigorous event organization, and humanized service details, and tell the world the story of Chinese sports. The Hong Kong Regional Coordination Office of the National Games held the "National Games 100 People Co create Million Kilometers Challenge" in July, accumulating over 990000 kilometers of sports target distance with citizens online. The final 100 kilometer sprint of the Million Kilometer Challenge will be held during the event on that day, with participants including Hong Kong athletes and officials from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government. The event also featured interactive sports electronic games such as cycling and triathlon, sports demonstrations and fun activities such as golf and fencing, as well as creative workshop series programs such as medal creation and motivational doll design, which attracted many citizens to participate. The 15th National Games and the Paralympic Games will be jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and will be held from November 9th to 21st and December 8th to 15th, 2025, respectively.
