On the 4th, the Public Security Police Department of the Macao SAR Government announced that as of 8:00 am on the same day, the cumulative passenger flow at Qingmao Port has exceeded 100 million. The Public Security Police Department stated that Qingmao Port is an important cross-border channel connecting Guangdong and Macao. With its efficient and convenient customs clearance mode and 24-hour access advantages, it has become a popular channel supporting the "dual city life of Zhuhai and Macao". Since its opening on September 8, 2021, it has become the second largest customs clearance port in Macau, accounting for 16.3% of the total inbound and outbound passenger volume in Macau last year. It is reported that Qingmao Port, as a national electronic and intelligent port, has a core advantage based on the innovative and convenient customs clearance mode of "cooperative inspection and one-time release". Passengers can queue up once, read their certificates once, and collect their biological characteristics once to efficiently complete the border inspection and verification procedures between the two places. Qingmao Port mainly relies on self-service customs clearance, with 50 cooperative inspection self-service channels and 6 manual channels in each immigration hall. Using the cooperative inspection self-service channels to complete immigration procedures between Zhuhai and Macao takes an average of only about 20 seconds. The opening of Qingmao Port effectively diverts the huge clearance passenger flow at the checkpoint, balances the clearance resources and layout of Macau's ports, and improves overall clearance efficiency and experience. Data shows that from January to July 2025, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers at Qingmao Port has exceeded 20.786 million, with an average of about 98000 passengers per day, an increase of 1.8% compared to the same period last year. The Public Security Police Bureau stated that since its opening, Qingmao Port has successively introduced multiple convenient measures for the public. In the future, we will work closely with relevant departments in Zhuhai and Macao to jointly research and introduce more convenient customs clearance measures, and continuously improve customs clearance efficiency and experience.
