The Marriage of Figaro "is hailed as the pinnacle of Mozart's opera composition. Since its release in 1786, it has been widely sung and loved by audiences for over two centuries due to its bright melody, clever structure, and profound humanistic meaning. As the curtain opened that night, the simple and symbolic stage design immediately took the audience to Seville, Spain in the 18th century. When classic arias such as "Don't Be a Lover Again", "Do You Know What Love is", and "Time with a Gentle Breeze" played in a light and lively rhythm, the applause on site was constant, and the audience was immersed in the interweaving of plot and music. The live orchestra is led by Dean Lamb, the permanent conductor of the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra, with the orchestra providing accompaniment throughout the entire performance. The total score of "The Marriage of Figaro" is over 730 pages long, which places extremely high demands on the orchestra's control ability and artistic literacy. In the overture and multiple core aria sections, the band has a high degree of tacit understanding and breathing resonance with the stage characters, making the entire performance more cohesive and infectious on stage. In terms of stage, the play continues the version created by Spanish director Jose Luis Castro in 2013, using condensed visual language to create a symbolic spatial atmosphere, highlighting the emotional conflicts and dramatic tension between characters. International renowned singers such as Marcus Verba, Benedetta Torre, Alessandro Lugo, Maria Mudriac, and Miriam Albano collaborated on stage with famous singers from the National Centre for the Performing Arts, including Guan Zhijing, Liu Siman, and Koujing. Together with the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra Choir, they completed a high-quality and highly completed stage presentation. As a cultural and performing arts province, Shaanxi has actively created a new urban landmark that integrates culture, sports, commerce, tourism, and other aspects in recent years. Among them, the theater, which carries the cultural taste and artistic pursuit of the city, has become an explorer of the new ecology of urban culture. It is reported that since its opening in 2017, Shaanxi Grand Theatre has led and participated in the production of six classic operas, including "Turandot," "Carmen," "The Courtesan," "La Dame aux Cam é lias," "Tosca," and "The Marriage of Figaro. Shaanxi Grand Theatre stated that by introducing international production standards and integrating local artistic forces, it hopes that Xi'an audiences can experience the diverse charm of opera art at their doorstep, while promoting in-depth dialogue between local artistic talents and the international stage.
