The 2nd Dianchi Criminal Rule of Law Forum focuses on the governance of bribery crimes

The Second Dianchi Criminal Rule of Law Forum opened on August 9th at the Yunnan Branch of the National Prosecutor's College in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The forum, with the theme of "Criminal Governance of Bribery Crimes," invited legislative bodies, judicial bodies, experts, scholars, and lawyers to gather together to explore cutting-edge or difficult issues in legal theory and judicial practice. Wang Guanghui, Secretary of the Party Group and Prosecutor General of Yunnan Provincial People's Procuratorate, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, pointing out that the first Dianchi Criminal Rule of Law Forum has successfully built a high-level criminal law exchange platform. This forum focuses on the theme of "criminal governance of bribery crimes", which is of great practical significance. We look forward to the participants speaking freely, contributing their insights, and jointly providing "good solutions" to solve the problem of bribery crime governance. Wang Guanghui emphasized the need to continuously deepen cooperation between prosecutors and schools through the forum, build a bridge between theoretical research and judicial practice, strengthen cooperation between prosecutors and lawyers, promote the construction of a legal professional community and fair justice, enhance cross departmental collaboration, weave a strict legal network to punish bribery crimes, consolidate consensus, promote practice, expand and apply the achievements of the forum, and contribute to the unique strength of the Dianchi Criminal Rule of Law Forum in building a precise, collaborative and efficient criminal governance system for bribery crimes. It is reported that this forum will conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on the judicial recognition of new implicit bribery, the judicial recognition of bribery crime forms, the mechanism for handling duty crimes, and the substantive and procedural issues of bribery crimes, promoting the integration and progress of legal theory and judicial practice. More than 260 experts, scholars and legal workers from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and 12 provincial and municipal political and legal units, colleges, and law firms in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu participated in the forum.
