In the summer of Kunshan, Jiangsu, the Communist Party of China Songhu Central County Committee Memorial Hall welcomes a special group of visitors. More than 10 foreign military students from Cambodia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries, together with Chen Heyang, a 98 year old veteran of the Anti Japanese War, as well as military school enrollment representatives and grassroots militia representatives, from the Kunshan Campus of the School of Foreign Languages of the National University of Defense Technology, participated in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War with the theme of "Remembering the War Years and Building a Foundation for Peace". Entering the memorial hall, four themed exhibition areas, 156 photos, 48 cultural relics... silently narrate the heroic epic of the New Fourth Army's bloody battles in the Songhu area, and the years of blood and fire intertwined during the Anti Japanese War seem to have reappeared. When Zhu Meiliang, a student from Cambodia, saw the battle recovery scene of the guerrillas of the New Fourth Army, he said with deep feeling: "The guerrilla warfare in China's War of Resistance against Japan is very similar to the way the Cambodian people fought against the Japanese aggressors. In the World Anti Fascist War, it is the common aspiration of the people of all countries to resist aggression and defend their homes." "At that time, we defeated the enemy with inferior equipment relying on tenacious fighting spirit. ”Chen He Yang, a veteran of the New Fourth Army, recalled his personal experience of joining the battle on site. "In the cold winter night, I was wearing a thin cotton coat and carrying a rifle, responsible for standing guard and keeping watch. At that time, we were not afraid of hardship or sacrifice, and our only belief was to drive the Japanese aggressors out of China." The foreign military students who listened attentively were deeply moved by the stories of the Chinese military and civilians' resistance against Japan. "In World War II, the Chinese battlefield held back the main force of the Japanese army and made great sacrifices and contributions to the victory of the world anti fascist war. Understanding this history can better understand the value of peace." The student from Belarus, Nick De, said that the important contribution of the Chinese people in the world anti fascist war should be recognized and respected. The history of the Chinese people's bloody war of resistance against Japan has aroused everyone's common historical memory of fighting side by side during World War II. Kazakhstani student Du Man shared with everyone the heroic deeds of Kazakhstan's World War II female hero Mansuke Mamitova, and emotionally said, "Today's peace is the result of countless bloodshed and sacrifices. Remembering history is for the future. Countries that have suffered aggression should unite and move forward hand in hand, and never let the tragedy of history repeat itself." During the event, all the staff also sang the "Guerrilla Song" in Chinese in unison: "We are all sharpshooters, each bullet destroys an enemy..." The passionate melody sounded in the memorial hall. In the common memory of history and the common expectation of a peaceful future, the song crossed the historical storms, closely connecting people from different countries, ethnic groups, and skin colors present. Finally, the banner of "Remembering the Years of War and Building the Foundation of Peace Together" slowly unfolded, and everyone solemnly signed their names on it and wrote a message of peace. Nick De expressed the common voice of everyone: "The World Anti Fascist War was a great just war in human history. Looking back at history, we should learn from it and work together to safeguard the hard won fruits of peace and contribute to building a community with a shared future for mankind
