Guangzhou will once again usher in the "Animation Golden Week" during the National Day holiday. A series of activities at the China International Comic Festival, such as the China Animation Golden Dragon Award (CACC) and the China International Comic Festival Anime Game Exhibition, will be held as scheduled. As the main competition of the comic festival, the 22nd China Animation Golden Dragon Award started soliciting submissions on the 13th. It is reported that this competition is committed to innovation and breaks the rules of setting up conventional animation awards. It has set up four major tracks: the "Decoding China" theme award, the CACC Top 10 Animation Awards, the CACC Top 10 Potential Animation Awards, and the CACC Overseas Animation Awards. It is open to global animation creators and institutions to collect excellent manga, animation, and IP design works. The "Decoding China" theme award mainly collects Chinese stories that creatively interpret Chinese culture, social changes, or a beautiful vision for the future, promote Chinese traditions, inherit national strength, and look forward to the magnificent blueprint of China's development. The CACC Top 10 Anime Awards focus on high-quality and influential works, and will select the "Top 10 of the Year" in the anime industry. The CACC Top 10 Potential Anime Awards, specially designed for "Tomorrow's Stars", aims to discover new talents in original anime. The winners can be selected for the Golden Dragon Award Creator Support Program and have the opportunity to commercialize their works. In addition, the CACC Overseas Animation Awards, which implements the internationalization strategy of the Golden Dragon Awards, will extensively invite overseas creators or institutions to share exciting stories from an international perspective. The organizing committee introduced that the deadline for soliciting submissions for this year's Golden Dragon Awards is September 10th. Afterwards, the winning works will be jointly selected by the public judges and professional judges, and the awards will be presented at the opening ceremony of the China International Comic Festival on October 2nd.
