On the 19th, the Jilin Province Modern and Contemporary History Exhibition was officially launched in the Beijing Street West Historical and Cultural District of Changchun City. The exhibition, with the theme of "Remembering History and Creating the Future", presents a panoramic view of the 300 years of vicissitudes and struggles in Jilin Province's modern and contemporary history, filling the gap in the lack of specialized exhibitions on modern and contemporary history in Jilin Province for many years. This exhibition focuses on the 300 year history of Jilin region from the Qing Dynasty to the establishment of the People's Republic of China. More than 1200 historical pictures, 70 data charts, and 1000 precious objects are exhibited in 9 major exhibition areas and 28 units. Among them, several precious cultural relics in the collection of Jilin Provincial Museum, including work supplies used by Northeast Anti Japanese United Front generals, physical objects of Japanese invasion of China, and archival documents, have been unveiled to the public for the first time. The whole exhibition focuses on the heroic deeds of Bahai, Wu Dacheng and other heroes to protect the border and defend the land, exposes the heinous crimes committed by the Japanese invaders in the northeast region, reviews the 14 year arduous heroic struggle of the Northeast Anti Japanese Army officers and men, and shows the historical role of Jilin Province as the founding place of the Northeast Anti Japanese Allied Forces, the launching place of the Northeast Liberation War, the support place for the War against US Aggression and Aid Korea, as well as the cradle of the new China's automobile industry, the cradle of the new China's film industry, and the cradle of the Chinese people's aviation industry, presenting the social development and changes of Jilin in a panoramic manner. On the eve of the exhibition, the Propaganda Department of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism specially appointed 9 descendants of heroic models, including Yang Jingyu, Li Zhaolin, and Zhao Yiman, as consultants for the Jilin Province Modern and Contemporary History Exhibition. The aim is to further strengthen the accuracy, professionalism, and authority of the exhibition, and fully leverage the unique advantages of descendants of heroic models in historical facts and spiritual interpretation, effectively promoting the intergenerational inheritance of the red gene and revolutionary torch. Ma Jizhi, the grandson of Yang Jingyu, said, "As a descendant of the Anti Japanese United Front, we must tell the story of Jilin well, especially the red story, so that the spirit of the Northeast Anti Japanese United Front can be continuously inherited and contribute our modest efforts to the development of the new era
