On August 20, 2025, in Suijiang County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, the construction of the Jinshajiang Extra Large Bridge in Xinshi was officially completed with the hoisting of the gantry beam in the He Long section. The starting bank of Xinshi Jinsha River Grand Bridge is located in Xinshi Town, Pingshan, Sichuan, and the ending bank is in Nan'an Town, Suijiang, Yunnan. The total length of the bridge is 1867 meters, the main span is 680 meters, and the total height of the main tower is 297.51 meters. It is a double tower double cable plane steel truss cable-stayed bridge. This bridge is a key node connecting the western Sichuan Yunnan northern expressway network. After completion and opening to traffic, it will have significant implications for facilitating transportation between Sichuan and Yunnan and promoting economic and social development. (New Society)
