On August 26th, the National Medical Products Administration announced that in recent years, it has focused on key areas of new quality productivity in medical devices such as medical robots, high-end medical imaging, artificial intelligence medical devices, and new biomaterials, and fully supports the research and innovation of high-end medical devices. Since the beginning of this year, 52 innovative products have been approved, and as of now, a total of 367 innovative products have been approved. Next, we will fully implement the "Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Drug and Medical Device Supervision and Promoting the High quality Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry", encourage high-level global medical device products to be launched in China, and benefit global public health with more high-quality products. Meanwhile, on August 26th, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) disclosed that it has recently approved the registration application for the innovative product of X-ray computed tomography equipment by Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd. This product consists of a scanning frame, high-voltage generator, X-ray tube assembly, photon counting detector, examination bed, laser positioning lamp, control console, beam limiter, optional accessories, and attachments. Mainly used for routine CT examination, supporting coronary artery CT angiography and energy spectrum examination. The National Medical Products Administration stated that the product uses photon counting detectors instead of traditional integral detectors. By applying a high bias voltage to the detector material, the current carrier is directed to move, forming current pulses and generating measurement data. It is reported that photon counting CT, as a major technological breakthrough in the field of CT imaging in the past decade, has greatly improved the imaging method of traditional CT and has shown significant application value in clinical practice. In addition to the approval of Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd.'s innovative medical devices, Shanghai Lianying Medical Technology Co., Ltd.'s photon counting CT has also been approved.
