The election campaign for the 8th Legislative Council of the Macau Special Administrative Region will begin at 00:00 on August 30th and will continue until 24:00 on September 12th. The Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission of the Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Sheng Ruimin, hopes that each candidate list will be promoted in accordance with the law during the 14 day campaign period, actively communicating and interacting to fully convey the election platform, service philosophy and aspirations to the voters, in order to win their support. Sheng Ruimin stated that all election procedures have been implemented in accordance with the law and carried out in an orderly manner. The Electoral Affairs Commission expects all sectors of society to continue to work together to safeguard the order of elections, strictly abide by the provisions of the election law and the guidelines of the Electoral Affairs Commission, conduct election propaganda and various election activities in accordance with the law and regulations, and ensure that elections are held smoothly in a fair, just, and clean environment.
