The prosperity index of China's logistics industry in August was 50.9%

On September 2nd, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released data showing that the prosperity index of China's logistics industry in August was 50.9%, up 0.4 percentage points from July. Liu Yuhang, Director of the China Logistics Information Center, stated that with the gradual implementation of policies to promote consumption, stabilize investment, and ensure people's livelihoods, the industrial chain and supply chain are accelerating their linkage. The total volume of logistics business and new order business are growing rapidly, with balanced growth in the eastern, central, and western regions, and the logistics prosperity index maintaining an expansion trend. Specifically, the overall business volume index maintains an expanding trend. The total business volume index was 50.9%, with a month on month increase of 0.4 percentage points, maintaining an expansion range. The new order index remains stable in the expansion range. The new order index of logistics enterprises is 52.3%, maintaining a prosperous range for seven consecutive months this year. The new order index of multimodal transport and water transportation industries has increased significantly month on month. Liu Xiangdong, Deputy Director of the Research and Information Department of the China International Economic Exchange Center, stated in an interview with reporters that with the effective implementation of policies to expand domestic demand, consumer activities continue to rebound and improve, leading to a positive trend in the animal fashion industry. The new order index remains in the expansion range, reflecting that the supply chain is operating more smoothly and efficiently against the backdrop of sustained demand recovery. The logistics service price index continues to rise. The logistics service price index rebounded by 0.3 percentage points month on month, with a cumulative increase of 0.5 percentage points over the past two months. Market expectations remain high. The expected index of business activities was 55.8%, a month on month increase of 0.2 percentage points. The average of the expected index of business activities in the first 8 months was 55.4%, which was 0.4 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Looking ahead, Liu Yuhang stated that the business activity expectation index has remained consistently above 55% in the high prosperity range, and the positive trend of enterprise expectations remains unchanged. Hu Han, Deputy Chief Economist of China Logistics Information Center, stated that the logistics demand market is expected to maintain a steady growth trend in the later stage, providing solid support for the stable recovery of the economy.
