The Commercial Press releases the fourth volume of the "Rixin Library"

Recently, the fourth volume of the "Rixin Bunko" book exchange conference of the Commercial Press was held in Beijing. The "Rixin Library" is a key academic publishing project launched by the Commercial Press in 2021, mainly publishing outstanding achievements of Chinese scholars and overseas Chinese scholars aged 45 and below, with a focus on humanities and social science research and no specific category restrictions. The series adheres to the concept of innovation, specialization, and openness, with an attitude of selection, refinement, and proofreading, to create benchmark masterpieces for the academic community; Committed to exploring new directions in academic publishing, building a new highland for academic research, and providing influential specialized new platforms for young scholars. After publishing the first to third volumes, the fourth volume of "Rixin Bunko" has released four works covering the fields of philosophy, history, and anthropology, continuing the high level of originality and ideological content of the previous three volumes. Voltaire and the War of Enlightenment, 1750-1770 "focuses on the intellectual struggle between Enlightenment philosophers and their opponents in the French Enlightenment movement, revealing how the Enlightenment movement won cultural authority through strategic competition and led the changes of the times. The book 'Common Places': The Multiple Worlds of Jizushan in Dali' depicts the 'multiple worlds' of Jizushan in Dali and the ways in which they are connected through historical anthropological research, vividly showcasing the process of communication, exchange, and integration among diverse cultural groups in the Southwest region. The book 'Soul and Existence - Aristotle's Commentary and Study on the Soul' provides a detailed interpretation of 'On the Soul', reconstructs Aristotle's argumentative approach, presents historical debates, and reveals the philosophical value of this work in the fields of soul theory, philosophical anthropology, metaphysics, ethics, and philosophy of mind. The Power of Emotion: A Meta Emotional Interpretation of Moral Norms "compares and synthesizes various moral emotionalism theories, absorbs and draws on new ideas from current meta ethics theories, and constructs and demonstrates a meta emotionalism approach to the power of moral norms. At the conference, Li Tingting, Director of the Academic Center of the Commercial Press, introduced that since its launch in 2021, after four years of hard work, the "Rixin Library" has released a total of 20 outstanding works by young scholars in four volumes. On the same day, the expert seminar for the fifth volume of the "Rixin Library" was held at the Commercial Press. (New Society)
