On September 2nd, the "Ba Fu Ming Du - Taiyuan Museum's Collection of Northern Dynasty, Sui and Tang Cultural Relics Exhibition" jointly organized by Guilin Museum and Taiyuan Museum was officially opened to the public at Guilin Museum. This exhibition showcases the rich collection of fine cultural relics from the Northern, Sui, and Tang dynasties in Taiyuan Museum, adhering to the overall positioning of "telling urban history with cultural relics" and focusing on the cultural theme of "relying on abundant cultural relics resources to tell wonderful historical stories". The exhibition focuses on the urban development history of "Ba Fu - Ming Du", relying on major archaeological discoveries such as Lou Rui's tomb, Xu Xianxiu's tomb, Han Zunian's tomb, and Yu Hong's tomb. Through three exhibition units of "Weiwei Xiongzhen", "Jingshi Ancient Tomb", and "Jinxiu Ming Du", and more than 130 exquisite cultural relics on display, including architectural components unearthed from the ancient city site of Jinyang, pottery figurines unearthed from Lou Rui's tomb, gilded bronze ware unearthed from Han Zunian's tomb, and 3D printed statues of Tianlongshan Grottoes, it fully showcases the historical and cultural significance behind the cultural relics and profoundly reveals the urban character and humanistic spirit behind the development of Taiyuan. Guilin and Taiyuan, two historical and cultural cities with their own characteristics, have achieved cultural collision and exchange through this exhibition. While appreciating the cultural relics of the Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang dynasties, the audience in Guilin can also feel the differences and commonalities of different regional cultures, enriching their cultural horizons. This kind of communication not only contributes to the inheritance and development of culture, but also provides new inspiration for cultural innovation in both places. This exhibition is open to the public for free and will continue until December 3rd. (New Society)
