The "Smart Construction" sub forum of the 2nd GTI Smart Hong Kong International Forum was held in Hong Kong on the 9th, bringing together over 350 guests including Hong Kong SAR government officials, internationally renowned academicians, Hong Kong academic representatives, and engineering experts. The aim is to build a global platform for smart construction exchange and cooperation, promote the innovation and transformation of smart construction technology, and elevate the industrial level. The sub forum focuses on the two main themes of "Digital Intelligence Empowerment" and "Intelligent Construction", and focuses on the deep integration path of artificial intelligence and the construction industry. It is organized by China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Construction International Corporation Limited. The Secretary for Housing of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Ho Wing yin, stated in his speech that the government is actively promoting large-scale housing construction plans. This not only leverages Hong Kong's unique advantages of being backed by the motherland and connected to the world, actively introduces advanced construction concepts and technologies, and innovatively helps solve the major livelihood problem of housing, but also provides the best practical scenarios for the construction industry to promote the implementation of intelligent construction technology. Gao Tongqing, Chairman of the Global Group for the Advancement of Information and Communication Technology (GTI), stated that the digital transformation of the construction industry does not solely rely on technological breakthroughs, but requires joint efforts from all parties and deep cross industry cooperation. In the future, GTI is willing to work with global partners to leverage international technology cooperation, industry cooperation, and think tank cooperation platforms with an open attitude and innovative power, to help the global construction industry unleash the value of network intelligence integration and move towards intelligent, green, and sustainable development.
