Defend the 'lifeline' with reverence

In the development of enterprises, there are both strengths and weaknesses, and safety is the most important bottom board. Once lost, there are no unnoticed "penny pinching", "redundant actions" that are repeatedly checked, and meticulous "making a big deal out of a molehill". It is precisely the most solid "firewall" that safeguards safety. Standing in the bright central control room of the mine, the lights in the monitoring area of the entire wall are flashing, and the crushers, ball mills, and other equipment are running smoothly on the screen. The concentrate falls into the silo along the chute, forming a jumping industrial pulse. As a safety officer, every time I see this scene, I always think of an old photo I saw when I first joined the company - in the 1960s, senior colleagues gathered around the rudimentary screening equipment in the mining area and erected wooden signs in the mountain valleys that read "Three line construction, safety first". Over the past 60 years, equipment has undergone several iterations and technology has changed rapidly, but one thing has never changed, which is the commitment to safety. Enterprise development has both strengths and weaknesses, and safety is the most important bottom board, with no loss. Without safety, how can we talk about production? Without stability, how can we talk about development? I remember during a daily inspection, I casually leaned towards a guardrail and noticed that it was slightly swaying. Upon careful inspection, it was found that the welding points on the fixed base had cracked. If night shift workers were to lean back and rest when tired, there is a risk of falling from a platform over 5 meters high. I quickly notified the maintenance team to come and inspect, and only breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the guardrail and the ground being "locked" together again. After a cold sweat, I realized that safety is more important than Mount Tai, and I can't relax at all. 1% negligence may lead to 100% disaster. Without a sense of responsibility like walking on thin ice and a sense of awe like facing an abyss, one cannot hold onto the "lifeline" of safety. When I first started working, my mentor didn't ask me to memorize the rules and regulations, but instead took me to the workshop for a whole week. He didn't directly tell me what to look at, he just asked me to squat with him next to the chute to observe the water flow, lie down next to the motor to listen to the running sound, and bend down to check the loose traces of the foundation bolts. He reminded me, 'We didn't have many tools before, we just used our hands to sense temperature, our ears to distinguish abnormal noises, and we didn't even let go of the tightness of the gasket. That's why we have so many years of safety.' Over the years, I have increasingly recognized the truth my master taught me: the ability of a safety officer is not only in technique, but also in being careful and dedicated. Last year, during the renovation of the factory, a section of brick wall from 60 years ago was exposed. After a storm, those bricks are still tightly interlocked and not loose at all. Leaving no gaps or hiding no risks, this rigorous and profound spirit has become a "family heirloom" passed down from generation to generation. The scariest thing in the field of security is the numbness towards small things; The most reliable thing is to be meticulous about details. During the trial operation of the new factory building, I went to inspect the screening area and suddenly caught a very uncoordinated "click" sound in my ear. It is mixed in with the roar of the equipment, intermittent and extremely difficult to detect, as if some component is quietly issuing a warning. I used a flashlight to inspect inch by inch, including the vibrating screen, motor, and transmission structure... Finally, I found a loose screw at the support structure below the side. After issuing the rectification notice, we not only reinforced all screws, but also conducted a comprehensive inspection of similar equipment to avoid further problems. Hidden dangers are never "publicized", but clues can always be found from subtle sounds, inconspicuous rust stains, or abnormal temperatures. Some people say, why be so serious? But those unnoticed 'petty tricks', those repeatedly checked' unnecessary actions', and those meticulous' making a big deal out of a molehill 'are precisely the most solid' firewall 'to safeguard peace. The more careful we are, the more reassuring our workers will be, and the more stable the factory will be. With the development of the times and the revitalization of industries, the factory has also achieved safety upgrades. In the past, we relied on "iron feet" and "sharp eyes" to conduct inspections one by one, and walked and patrolled more than ten times a day; Nowadays, the device parameters and operating status on the monitoring screen are clear at a glance, and the system will automatically alarm in case of abnormal situations. Previously, there was a lot of dust in the screening workshop, and workers manually adjusted the flow rate; Now it has been changed to an automated production line, with automatic valve control and efficient dust removal equipment, making the workshop clean and bright. These changes are a true reflection of the new ecology of old enterprises, and also a vivid footnote to the improvement of safety and maintenance. What we pursue is not just 'no accidents', but also standardized, efficient, and green development. Isn't it boring to deal with various instruments every day and wander around the factory area? I don't think so, because what we are guarding is not only the operation of equipment, but also the safety of countless workers' lives, the happy reunion of thousands of families, and the strong pulse of industrial bloodline. As a new generation of security personnel, I will strive to take over the "responsibility baton" passed down by my predecessors, grasp the intelligent "new tools" tightly, and write a new chapter in security protection with the most down-to-earth work style.
