The 10th the Belt and Road Summit Forum, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on the 10th. The two-day forum, with the theme of "Cooperation for Change and Co construction of the Future", gathered more than 90 political and business leaders and more than 100 delegations from countries and regions jointly building the "the Belt and Road", with more than 6000 participants. Li Jiachao, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered a speech saying that over the past decade, more than 45000 people from more than 120 countries and regions attended the summit, promoted more than 2800 "the Belt and Road" projects, and created a common vision through cooperation and connectivity. As the "super contact" and "super value-added person" of global high-quality cooperation, Hong Kong will continue to promote the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road". Ma Shiheng, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, delivered a speech, saying that the the Belt and Road Summit Forum has gathered political and business leaders in the past decade to promote multi-party dialogue and cooperation. Multiple important partnerships have been established, influential projects have been launched one after another, and cross regional connections are becoming increasingly close. This forum will continue to focus on promoting opportunities for cooperation. Yan Dong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said in a speech that the Ministry of Commerce would continue to support Hong Kong in giving play to its advantages in the high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. First, we should support Hong Kong's deep connection with the outside world and better integrate into the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road". Further expand the opening up of the mainland to Hong Kong's financial, telecommunications, construction, tourism and other fields. Research and promote the joint construction of a single free trade zone among mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Support Hong Kong to sign more free trade agreements and investment agreements with foreign businesses, join RCEP as soon as possible, and further expand its foreign economic and trade network. The second is to support Hong Kong to build a functional platform to better serve the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road". We will support Hong Kong to consolidate and enhance its position as an international financial, shipping, and trade center, and expand and jointly build the scale of national trade and investment. Support Hong Kong's extensive participation in various economic and trade exhibitions and forums. Third, support the construction of Hong Kong docking projects and better participate in the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road". Li Zhen, Deputy Director of the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, delivered a speech, saying that Hong Kong is an important node in the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", and has always played the role of "super contact" and "super value-added person" with its unique advantages. Hong Kong is not only a bridgehead for central enterprises to go global, but also a converter for global resources to connect with the Chinese market. It will play an increasingly important role in jointly building the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road". Xiao Weiming, Deputy Secretary General of the National Development and Reform Commission, delivered a speech saying that this year is the tenth consecutive year that the the Belt and Road Summit Forum has been held in Hong Kong. In the past ten years, we have witnessed that Hong Kong has seized the historic opportunity to jointly build the "the Belt and Road", fully played its role as a financial, shipping, trade center and innovation and technology center, and constantly organized its trade and investment network with the countries that have jointly built the "the Belt and Road", so as to achieve the double improvement of its own development level and international competitiveness, which is more important and more promising in participating in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". In his subsequent keynote speech, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Zhantuo said that the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative has brought important resources to local infrastructure construction, facilitated key cooperation, and laid a solid foundation for Cambodia's development. He believes that the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" will inject new momentum into Cambodia's economic development, and Hong Kong, as an international financial and professional service hub, can play an indispensable role in the implementation of cooperation projects. This forum covers multiple discussions and activities, including the opening ceremony, policy dialogue session, main forum, themed luncheon, themed group forum, investment project introduction session, and exchange reception. At the opening session, an exchange ceremony was held between representatives of Hong Kong and countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" on nine memorandums and cooperation agreements. This forum also has five exhibition zones, among which the "ASEAN Zone" is established for the first time, and the other four are the "Hong Kong Zone", "Global Investment Opportunities Zone", "Innovation and Technology Zone", and "Mainland Zone".
