The China United Nations Peace and Development Fund 10th Anniversary Theme Conference was held at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the 10th. Fu Cong, the Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, presided over the meeting, and Li Junhua, the Under Secretary General for Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations, delivered a speech on behalf of the Chairman of the Fund Steering Committee and Director of the Office of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ratray. Heads of various departments such as the United Nations Department of Political and Peace building Affairs, senior representatives of countries in special situations, heads of United Nations agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme, as well as permanent representatives and senior diplomats from nearly 30 countries, including the main beneficiaries of the fund, attended the meeting. Fu Cong stated that since its establishment 10 years ago, the fund has carried out over 200 practical cooperation projects with more than 100 countries, helping developing countries strengthen their capacity for peace, security, and sustainable development, and effectively promoting the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The fund has become an important platform for China to deepen cooperation with the United Nations and practice multilateralism. China is willing to take the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the fund as an opportunity to jointly plan the future development of the fund, actively practice global governance initiatives, maintain the international system with the United Nations as the core, promote the construction of a more just and reasonable global governance system, and work together towards a community with a shared future for mankind. The attending parties highly praised the achievements of the fund, appreciated and thanked the Chinese government for providing firm and strong support to the United Nations in promoting the sustainable development agenda and international peace and security. They look forward to deepening cooperation with the fund, promoting unity among member states, jointly improving global governance, and building a common future for mankind.
