The Annual Report on China International Commercial Arbitration (2024-2025) released by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission on the 16th shows that in 2024, 283 arbitration institutions across the country accepted a total of 767800 cases, a year-on-year increase of 26.4%; The total amount of arbitration cases in China is 1.21 trillion yuan, which has exceeded one trillion yuan for two consecutive years, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year. The Annual Report on China International Commercial Arbitration (2024-2025) was commissioned by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission to be compiled by a research group composed of Renmin University of China. The report adopts a combination of empirical analysis and theoretical research methods. Based on a comprehensive analysis of data on China's international commercial arbitration cases in 2024, it tracks the construction of the China International Commercial Arbitration Center, international exchanges in commercial arbitration, and new trends in domestic and foreign commercial arbitration theory research, and continues to explore the key issues in the judicial review of China's international commercial arbitration. In addition, the report also provides a detailed review of the application of the Civil Code in the field of arbitration since its promulgation five years ago. It compares and analyzes the practices of different arbitration institutions in complex arbitration structures such as multi contract arbitration, additional parties, and merger arbitration, and focuses on the hot issues in construction disputes that have been the most frequently handled by arbitration institutions in recent years.
