Recently, the State Internet Information Office issued the Measures for the Management of National Cyber Security Incident Reports (hereinafter referred to as the Measures), which will come into force on November 1, 2025. The Measures consist of fourteen articles, mainly providing normative requirements for the scope of application, regulatory responsibilities, reporting subjects, reporting processes, reporting deadlines, reporting content, etc. of network security incident reporting. The relevant person in charge of the State Internet Information Office pointed out that in order to standardize the management of network security incident reporting, timely control the losses and hazards caused by network security incidents, and implement laws and regulations such as the Network Security Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on the Security Protection of Key Information Infrastructure, the State Internet Information Office formulated the National Network Security Incident Reporting Management Measures to further standardize and clarify the network security incident reporting process and requirements. At present, the network information department has opened six kinds of network security incident reporting channels: 12387 network security incident reporting hotline, official website, WeChat official account, WeChat applet, email and fax. Network operators, social organizations and individuals can report network security incidents to the network information department through the above channels. (New Society)
