On September 16th, the 3rd China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Annual Conference and 4th Danzhai Intangible Cultural Heritage Week with the theme of "Integrating into Modern Life and Walking with the Times" officially kicked off in Danzhai Wanda Town, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. The event was hosted by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association, Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Qiandongnan Prefecture People's Government. Guests including Luo Shugang, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture, and Health Commission of the National People's Congress, Gu Xiaoyu, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Vice Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture, and Health Commission of the National People's Congress, Yu Jie, member of the Party Group of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, Li Jian, Vice Chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Political Consultative Conference and Secretary of the Qiandongnan Prefecture Committee, and Wang Xiaofeng, President of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association. Officials from the National People's Congress Education, Science, Culture, and Health Commission, relevant provincial, regional, and municipal intangible cultural heritage management departments, as well as experts, scholars, intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and numerous media outlets attended the opening ceremony. Wang Xiaofeng, President of the China Association for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Yu Jie, member of the Party Group of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, Yang Guangjie, Deputy Secretary of the Qiandongnan Prefecture Committee and Governor of the Prefecture People's Government, and Zhang Dengli, Deputy Secretary of the Danzhai County Committee and County Mayor of the County People's Government, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, multiple contents were released, including the "Blue Book 2025 on the Protection and Communication of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage" and the "Blue Book 2025 on the Integration of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Tourism Development", which are excellent works jointly compiled by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association, research institutions, experts, scholars, and social forces. They systematically sorted out and deeply analyzed the work of non genetic broadcasting and the integration of intangible cultural heritage and tourism in 2024, especially the release of the "Special Tribute to Intangible Cultural Heritage Activity", "Most Influential Intangible Cultural Heritage Activity" and excellent cases in 2024, which attracted the attention of the whole audience. The "Five Good Intangible Cultural Heritage Collection" brand was also released on site. "Five Good Intangible Cultural Heritage Collection" is an advantageous activity formed by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association's years of practice. Its core characteristics are "good-looking, delicious, pleasant to listen to, fun, and easy to use", creating a new intangible cultural heritage experience for tourists; The launch of the Guizhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Dictionary Collection has given wings to intangible cultural heritage, allowing cultural treasures to break through the limitations of geography and time. At the opening ceremony, a variety of national level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, including the Dong ethnic group's grand song "The Sound of Nature", Sichuan opera's face changing "Journey to the Ancient Sichuan Horizon", Shaanbei storytelling "The Sound of the Three Qins", lion dance, Wing Chun, Cantonese opera "Lion Martial Arts in Lingnan", and ethnic unity celebration "Colorful Harmony", appeared successively, demonstrating the vitality of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and innovative development. After the opening, a thousand people dressed up in intangible cultural heritage performances kicked off the "Five Good Intangible Cultural Heritage Collection". The eight national level intangible cultural heritage representative projects in Danzhai County, including lusheng music (Miao Mangtong lusheng), Miao lusheng dance, Miao Nian, Miao batik, Shiqiao ancient paper-making, Miao Jiali, Miao ancient piaopian dance, Miao costumes, etc., form a grand performance phalanx along the street. The representative inheritors and performers of intangible cultural heritage dress in gorgeous traditional costumes, hold exquisite intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, and use the street as a platform to warmly showcase the traditional culture passed down for thousands of years to the audience and tourists, demonstrating the charm of intangible cultural heritage. This annual conference and intangible cultural heritage week are organized by the Guizhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the Qiandongnan Prefecture Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism, and the Danzhai County People's Government.
