On September 17th, the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone officially celebrated its fourth anniversary. According to statistics from the Hengqin Border Inspection Station of Zhuhai Border Inspection General Station, as of 5:00 pm on September 16th, the Hengqin Port has inspected over 70.54 million inbound and outbound personnel and over 8.2 million vehicles in the past four years, with an average annual growth rate of about 39.6% and 31.8% respectively. Hengqin Port has become one of the busiest ports in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. With the continuous empowerment of customs clearance facilitation, personnel and vehicles between Qin'ao and Qin'ao are increasingly frequent. According to statistics, the number of Macau residents employed, residing, and living in the cooperation zone has exceeded 28000, and there are over 7300 Australian funded enterprises. Residents of Hong Kong and Macau, as well as mainland residents commuting to work or study in Macau through the Hengqin Port, have become the main population for customs clearance. According to data from the Hengqin Border Inspection Station, the daily number of frequent round-trip passengers at Hengqin Port has increased from 18000 four years ago to 51000, an increase of 183%.
