From the cumulative data, all modes of transportation have achieved steady growth. The expected flow of personnel on highways (including non operational passenger trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads, as well as operational passenger traffic on highways) is 1153.63 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%. Among them, the cumulative commercial passenger traffic on highways is expected to reach 149.21 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%; The cumulative number of non-commercial passenger trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads is expected to be 1004.42 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%. As the main force of medium and long-distance travel, the railway is expected to carry 78.78 million passengers in the four days leading up to the National Day and Mid Autumn Festival holidays, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%; The estimated railway passenger volume is 78.78 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%. In addition, it is expected that the passenger volume of civil aviation and waterway will be 9.62 million and 6.81 million respectively, an increase of 5.0% and 11.7% year-on-year. Data shows that on October 4, 2025 (the 4th day of the National Day and Mid Autumn Festival holidays), the expected cross regional personnel flow in the whole society is 306.66 million, a month on month increase of 0.7%, and a year-on-year increase of 8.0% (the 4th day of the National Day holiday in 2024). Among them, the railway passenger volume is expected to be 18.2 million, a month on month increase of 0.2% and a year-on-year increase of 3.7%. The expected flow of personnel on highways (including non operational passenger trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads, as well as operational passenger traffic on highways) is 284.22 million, a month on month increase of 0.7% and a year-on-year increase of 8.3%. Among them, the estimated commercial passenger volume on highways is 35.32 million, a decrease of 1.2% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 2.8%; The estimated number of non-commercial passenger trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads is 248.9 million, with a month on month increase of 1.0% and a year-on-year increase of 9.1%. The passenger volume of waterways and civil aviation was 1.9 million and 2.34 million respectively, but still increased by 5.2% and 5.1% year-on-year. The reporter learned from China Railway Group that based on the pre-sale situation of Railway 12306, the popular departure cities on October 4th are mainly Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chongqing, and Xi'an; The popular arrival cities mainly include Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and Xi'an; The passenger flow between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, Xi'an and Chengdu, Changsha and Wuhan, Guangzhou and Nanning, Beijing and Jinan, Hohhot, Shenyang and other popular areas is relatively concentrated. During the holiday season, highways experience a peak in traffic flow. With the popularization of new energy vehicles, the demand for charging in highway service areas has significantly increased. According to statistics, on October 1st and 2nd, the traffic volume of new energy vehicles on highways in China was 13.287 million and 12.367 million respectively, an increase of 26.2% and 30.1% year-on-year. Faced with the concentrated release of travel demand, transportation departments in various regions have taken multiple measures to ensure charging supply, such as guiding new energy vehicles to opposite service areas for charging, utilizing charging facilities around highway entrances and exits for charging, scientifically optimizing the charging time of bicycles for quantitative charging, and adding mobile emergency charging equipment. At the same time, personnel will be deployed to strengthen order guidance and humanistic care, guide service areas in various regions to maintain on-site charging order, strengthen vehicle guidance through the production of "charging reminder cards" and other methods, provide warm services, and fully ensure that new energy vehicle drivers have sufficient "electricity" for holiday travel. In response to the pressure brought by the peak travel during the "Double Festival" holiday, the highway service areas in Hubei Province have added 219 mobile charging devices, 194 mobile public toilets, and about 2100 service personnel, taking multiple measures to cope with the peak demand for charging. Faced with the continuous increase in tourism popularity in the northwest region during holidays, the demand for long-distance travel of new energy vehicles has significantly increased. As of now, Gansu Expressway Service Group has built and put into operation 110 charging (swapping) stations in 42 pairs of expressway service areas throughout the province, with a total of 479 charging piles and 806 charging parking spaces, forming a charging network framework covering the main transportation arteries in the province. In Hunan, 187.5 pairs of operational service areas (including 20 pairs of parking areas) have been opened locally, equipped with 1308 charging piles, 2379 charging parking spaces, 41 battery swapping stations, and 32 mobile emergency charging devices. The province's operational service areas (parking areas) have achieved full coverage of charging facilities, better ensuring worry free self driving and enjoyable travel during public holidays. In Jiangsu, the transportation departments of the whole province have prepared sufficient transportation capacity, organized transportation well, and solidly implemented comprehensive transportation connections to enhance the transfer experience. Nanjing Metro has introduced a special plan to strengthen the guarantee of transportation capacity and passenger transport organization, timely extend the operation time of the subway, fully connect with railway hubs such as Nanjing South Station and Nanjing Station, and facilitate the evening travel of passengers. Changzhou Public Transport Group has deployed additional staff at the North Square Passenger Transport Center of Changzhou Railway Station, using various methods such as "stationing+inspection" to maintain order, inquire and guide passengers, and provide comprehensive transfer travel services. From Linhai Xueyuan to Jiangnan water towns, from urban hubs to remote stations, during the National Day and Mid Autumn Festival holidays, transportation departments across China have woven a holiday travel guarantee network with accurate predictions, sufficient transportation capacity, and thoughtful services, making the 1.249 billion cross regional flows efficient and warm, and boosting the vitality and vigor of China's mobile economy.
